Dimming Systems

Dimming systems range from small wall-mounted stations to multi-panel networked systems controlling both architectural and theatrical spaces. These systems offer unparalleled control over the light levels and atmosphere of a room or an entire area. Newer dimming systems can also control LED-based fixtures to deliver subtle or dazzling colors and special effects, use full-color touchscreens to provide user control, or integrate with audio/visual and other building systems. Dimming systems are primarily used where aethestics are of primary importance, such as in executive conference rooms, houses of worship, entertainment spaces, restaurants, etc.

Dimming is an inherently complex subject. There are many different types of light sources, each of which are dimmed a different way using different equipment. In addition, each dimming manufacturer has a different approach to dimming, which leads to some equipment being more suitable for certain dimming applications than others. Lighting Associates can help you navigate this complexity at each step of the construction process and arrive at a dimming system that both meets your needs and is cost-effective.
